Bafta Pre-Party @ Annabels

One of the annual Bafta pre-party's was, as usual, at Annabels. And, also as usual, a lot of the nominees never show up at this party, but a lot of random celebrities DO show up here.

This year the biggest name for me at the party was Kit Harington (Game Of Thrones, Pompeii) who signed my poster of Pompeii and posed for a photo.
Dylan McDermott, star of TV-shows like Hostages, American Horror Story and The Practice, showed up. Me, being a big fan of American Horror Story, really liked getting a picture with him.
David O'Russell (Director of American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook and The Fighter) posed for a picture.
Steve Coogan (Philomena, The Look Of Love, The Other Guys) signed my DVD-cover of The Trip and my Blu-Ray cover of Tropic Thunder and posed for a photo.
Two times Academy Award winner director Alfonso Quaron (Gravity, Children Of Men) signed my poster of Gravity and posed for a photo.
Academy Award winning actress Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years A Slave, Non-Stop) signed my poster of 12 Years A Slave and posed for a photo.
Lea Seydoux (Inglorious Basterds, Mission: Impossible 4, Robin Hood) posed for a photo.
Jack Huston (Richard Harrow from Boardwalk Empire) posed for another picture.
Singer Lily Allen (Fuck You, Not Fair) posed for a picture.

12 Angry Men @ Garrick Theatre

Another stagedoor I waited to meet some people was the Garrick theatre where Jeff Fahey (Machete, Lost, The Lawnmower Man) and Robert Vaughn (The Magnificent Seven, Bullit, The Towering Inferno) were in a play called Twelve Angry Men.

The 81 year old Academy Award nominee Robert Vaughn signed my DVD of Bullit and sort of posed for a photo.
Jeff Fahey was really nice. He signed seven items for me and posed for a picture.

Strangers On A Train @ Gielgud Theatre

When I was in London to witness this years Bafta Awards I decided to go and try to meet some at the stagedoors of theatres also. This trip I went to the stagedoor of the Gielgud theatre to meet Myanna Buring and Jack Huston.

Myanna Buring (The Descent, Twilight: Breaking Dawn) signed my poster of Twilight: Breaking Dawn and posed for a photo.
Jack Huston (Richard Harrow from the HBO-Hitseries Boardwalk Empire) signed my poster of Boardwalk Empire and posed for a photo.

Meeting king Joffrey on the streets in Dublin!

While I was walking on the streets of Dublin I saw Jack Gleeson (King Joffrey in Game Of Thrones) driving by on his bike. When I called him he stopped and posed for a picture with me. For me he is absolutely great in the HBO-series and I think he is one of the most hated characters of TV's history.

Anchorman 2 Dublin Premiere 2013

To end last year with a bang I decided to go to Dublin to attend the european premiere of the new comedy Anchorman 2, starring Will Ferrell, Steve Carrel, Paul Rudd and David Koechner.
The set-up at theSavoy in Dublin was not very professional, because it was obvious this sort of premieres was new to them. I was not in the best spot because of them moving around all the time, but I was certainly not at the worst spot either...

Steve Carrel (Get Smart, The Office), which I've heard stories of that he would be vile, was indeed very nice! He signed my Anchorman picture and posed for a photo.
David Koechner (also known from Piranha 3DD and Final Destination 5) was also very nice and he also signed my Anchorman picture and the DVD-cover as well before posing up for a picture.
Adam McKay (director of Stepbrothers, The Other Guys) signed my DVD-cover of Anchorman and my Blu-Ray cover of The Other Guys because posing for a photo.

Kidnapping Freddy Heineken Filming In Amsterdam

When I found out where cast & crew where filming scenes of the new movie "Kidnapping Freddy Heineken" in Amsterdam I decided to go take a look to see if there was a chance to meet to cast. They were filming very near to the Amstel hotel so it was not that hard to find the set.
And after waiting some hours in the cold the cast & crew arrived to film a new scene.

Sam Worthington (Avatar, Clash Of The Titans, Terminator Salvation) plays Willem Holleeder in the movie. For me he was the most important one to get from this movie, so I was very happy to see that he was very friendly. He posed for a picture with me and signed my posters of Avatar, Clash Of The Titans and Terminator Salvation.
Jim Sturgess (Upside down, Cloud Atlas, 21) was another one I was very happy to meet. Jim plays Cor van Hout in the movie. When he arrived he was happy to pose for a picture with me.
Mark van Eeuwen (De Eetclub) is a dutch actor who is playing Frans Meijer in the movie, which is ofcourse a great opportunity for him. Dutch actors are usually quite friendly and he was no exception so he also posed for a picture.
Daniel Alfredson (Millenium 2 en 3) is the director of this project. He also posed for a picture.

Nick Carter Of The Backstreet Boys @ Amstel Hotel Amsterdam

When I was waiting for the cast & crew of "Kidnapping Freddy Heineken" te begin shooting in front of the Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam I found out that the Backstreet Boys were staying in the Hotel. As I am not a big fan of them I decided not to do any effort in getting them together with 40 or 50 women who were waiting for them, but when his cab stopped right in front of me I couldn't resist to make a picture with Nick Carter. It turned out I was the only one who got him at that time, because he decided to go in inmediately after...

Kings Of Leon

Kings Of Leon, one of the most popular and succesfull bands of the moment also stayed in Amsterdam for the MTV EMA's 2013. I was able to get a picture signed by all 4 of them, but I was only able to get a picture with two of them...

Caleb Followill (leadsinger)
Matthew Followill

When I was in Amsterdam for the MTV EMA's 2013 I was able to meet (almost) the complete band Queens Of The Stone Age.

Josh Homme (Leadsinger)
Dean Fertita & Jon Theodore

Weekend Of Cancellations 2013

Like every year also this year's edition of the Weekend Of Horrors turned out to be a weekend of cancellations, so fortunately it wasn't a surprise any more. But I decided to go anyhow because there were a couple of people I'd like te meet...

Costas Mandylor is probably mostly known for his part as detective Hoffman in the Saw movies, where he is later revealed as the killer! He was very friendly and chatted with everyone who was up for it. I took a picture with him during the photoshoot.
Clifton Collins Jr. is mostly known for his parts in Crank 2, Boondock Saints 2 and Star Trek. He was filming in Berlin and stopped by to meet some fans. I also made a picture with him during the photoshoot.
Sarah Butler is actually only known (at the moment) for the movie I Spit On your Grave, but that movie was very cool, so I decided to make a picture with her as well.
Haruo Nakajima (84 years old) is the man in the Godzilla-suit of the old Japanese Godzilla movies. His manager said I could take a picture with him for free when I bought the autograph... I couldn't resist.
