Fedcon 2014

This year's Fedcon was, like last year's edition, not very good for me for meeting stars. Only two of the whole I decided to go and meet.

 

One of them was ofcourse Natasha Henstridge (Species, Maximum Risk, The Whole Nine Yards) who signed my filmcell of Species and posed for a photo.

 The other one was Tony Curran (The Pillars Of The Earth, Defiance) who signed my book of The Pillars Of The Earth and posed for a photo.

Antwerp Convention 2014

Like every year, this year I also attended the Antwerp Convention, where I was able to meet three people from the TV-show Game Of Thrones, which ofcourse I really like! 

Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy), who was actually extremely nice, signed my poster of Game Of Thrones and posed for a photo.

 Luke Barnes (Rast) signed my poster and posed for a photo.

 Mark Stanley (Grenn) signed my poster and posed for a photo.

Kiefer Sutherland @ Claridges

The big surprise this trip was no doubt Jack Bauer himself Kiefer Sutherland, who is currently filming 24: Live Another Day in the capital. I was quite lucky that I was tipped off by a fellow collector that Kiefer was at least spending the evening in Claridges Hotel, because the stayed private this time. As always he was extremely friendly and he talked quite some time to us. He signed my big poster of 24 (finally) and the poster of Pompeii and a large photo of Jack Bauer. He also posed for a new photo. This actually made my trip completely, although the trip wouldn't have been bad without meeting this TV-legend!

Noah UK Premiere @ Odeon Leicester Square

The other reason I went to London this time was the London premiere of the new epic movie Noah, starring Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone and Emma Watson. Unfortunately I was not able to meet Russell Crowe, but I was able to meet all the others... 

Academy award winning actress Jennifer Connelly (Blood Diamond, Requiem for A Dream, Hulk) signed my poster of Noah and a picture of herself and she also posed for a picture with me, which made me very happy.

 Ray Winstone (Indiana Jones 4, King Arthur, Sexy Beast) plays the villain in Noah. He signed my poster and posed for a photo. And that was also a picture I wanted for years...

Apart from them Darren Aronofsky, Logan Lerman and Emma Watson signed my poster.

Hugh Jackman @ Dorchester Hotel

While I was waiting for only a few minutes at the Dorchester Hotel it was a big surprise that Hugh Jackman turned up and he was in a good mood! He signed my photo of Wolverine and posed for a picture with me. Nice meeting you again you Hugh! 

Empire Awards 2014 @ Grosvenor House

One of the actual reasons I went to London this time was the Empire Awards, which I attended three years in a row now. The problem with these awards is that you actually never know who is going to attend them, because a lot of the nominees aren't even going to these awards so it is very difficult to prepare for them. This year, completely different then last year, the actual stars that walked the red carpet were pretty good!

Tom Cruise (Mission: Impossible, The Last Samurai, Top Gun) was awarded the "Legend Of Our Lifetime" award and when he arrived he signed my Edge Of Tomorrow poster and posed for a photo.



 Another surprise this afternoon was the arrival of the Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger which was impossible to get a picture with at the red carpet. Fortunately for me he did sign and he signed my poster of The Expendables 2.

 Jared Harris is mostly known for his roles in Sherlock Holmes 2, Pompeii and ofcourse the TV-show Mad Men. He signed my posters of Pompeii, Mad Men and The Mortal Instruments and posed for a photo.

 Emma Thompson (Love Actually, Harry Potter, Nanny McPhee) signed my DVD-cover of Love Actually and a photo of herself. She was also willing to pose for a photo.

 Logan Lerman (Noah, The Three Musketeers, Percy Jackson) signed my poster of The Three Musketeers and posed for a photo.

 Douglas Booth (Noah, Romeo & Juliet, The Pillars Of The Earth) signed my poster of Noah, my booklet of The Pillars Of The Earth and a picture of himself before posing for a photo with me.

 James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class, Atonement, Filth) signed two photos and posed for a photo with me.

 Aidan Turner (The Hobbit, The Mortal Instruments) signed my poster of The Hobbit, a picture of himself and posed for a photo.

 Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark in Game Of Thrones) signed my poster of Game Of Thrones and posed for a photo.

 Thomas Sangster (Game Of Thrones, Love Actually, Tristan & Isolde) signed my poster of Game Of Thrones and posed for a photo.

 Edgar Wright (The World's End, Hot Fuzz, Shaun Of The Dead) signed my poster of The World's End and posed for a photo.

 Steve Coogan (Philomena, Alan Partridge) signed a photo and posed for a photo.

 Freya Mavor (Skins, Sunshine On Leith) posed for a photo.

 Joe Thomas (The Inbetweeners) posed for a photo.

 Antonia Thomas (Misfits, Sunshine On Leith) posed for a photo.

 Michael Smiley (Kill List, The World's End, Perfume) posed for a photo.

Jeeves & Wooster In Perfect Nonsense @ Duke Of York

Matthew Macfayden (The Pillars Of The Earth, Ripper Street, The Three Musketeers) was currently playing in a play called Jeeves & Wooster In Perfect Nonsense. When the play was finished he came out of the stagedoor and signed my posters of The Three Musketeers and Robin Hood, my booklet of The Pillars Of The Earth and a few photos before posing for a picture with me.

Celebrities @ Soho Hotel

While I was waiting at the Soho hotel in London I saw a couple of celebrities with whom I made pictures with.

 

Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Warrior) is always nice to his fans. When he left the hotel together with his dog he was more then willing to pose for a photo with me.

John Hawkes (Contagion, Lincoln) signed my poster of Contagion and also posed for a photo.

Stephen Fry (Alice In Wonderland, The Hobbit) posed for a photo.

Andy Serkis @ Random London Meet

I Met Andy Serkis when I was on my way to a theatre stagedoor. Luckily he was nice as always and stopped (although he was with his family) to take a picture with me and he also signed my poster of Tintin and my DVD-cover of Wild Bill. 

Twelve Angry Men @ Garrick Theatre

I visited the stagedoor of the Garrick theatre already last month to meet Robert Vaughn and Jeff Fahey. Because my picture with Robert Vaughn wasn't really good last month I gave it another try. This time he signed my poster of The Towering Inferno and posed for a photo. Luckily for me, this time it was a good picture. Ow Yeah, and Jeff Fahey signed a few more DVD-covers and pictures...
