This year was the third time I went to the Deauville Filmfestival. This is actually kind of a boring filmfestival with only a few decent stars attending but it is always nice to hang out woth friends during the festival. This year I only went a few days and I was able to meet quite a few people during these days...
Pierce Brosnan is ofcourse mostly known for his performance as James Bond in 4 movies. Beside the Bond movies he made movies like Mars Attacks!, The Thomas Crown Affair, Dante's Peak, After The Sunset and the there is The November Man which he was promoting in Deauville. I heard a lot of stories that he wasn't easy but I have to admit I thought he was amazing. I got a picture with him and he signed my filmcell of Die Another Day, my Blu-Ray cover of Dante's Peak, my DVD-cover of Mars Attacks! and 4 James Bond pictures. So... I cannot really complain :-)
Will Ferrell is a comedy actor I really like as an actor (Anchorman, Old School, Blades Of Glory, Zoolander etc.) but not really like as a person. This was the third year I've met him and this time I finally got my picture with him (although it was also only the third time I saw him this festival). He also signed my photo of Anchorman and my Blu-Ray cover of The Other Guys, which is now complete. Finally I can cross him of my list!
Ray Liotta (Goodfellas, Turbulence, Blow) was not an easy one to get at the festival bit luckily I got him quite early on the day when he left after doing some interviews. He signed my poster of Goodfellas, my DVD-cover of Escape From Absolom and a couple of pictures of him.
Miles Teller (Divergent, Fantastic Four (reboot) and 21 & Over) was in town to promote his new movie Whiplash. He is certainly a rising star and will only be more famous during the sequels of Divergent en the new Fantastic Four franchise in which he is the new Mr. Fantastic. He signed my poster of Divergent and a picture out of Divergent and Fantastic four and he also posed for a photo.
French actor Lambert Wilson is mostly known for playing The Merovingian in The Matrix Trilogy. Because I like him very much in that I was happy to get a picture with him...
Olga Kurylenko (Quantum Of Solace, Oblivion, Centurion) was also in town to promote The November Man, in whivh she is the female lead. She signed my Blu-Ray cover of Centurion and pictures of Quantum Of Solace and Oblivion. She was also willing to pose for another picture.
Freddie Highmore (Bates Motel, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory) was a member of the jury during the festival. He signed my poster of Bates Motel, my Blu-Ray cover of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory and a few pictures of him.
John McTiernan is mostly known for directing big movies like "Die Hard", "Die Hard With A Vengeance" and "Predator". He was in town because he was given an award. He signed my Blu-Ray cover of Die Hard and posed for a photo.
Clemence Poesy (Fleur Delacour in Harry Potter) signed two photos and posed for a photo.
Astrid Berger-Frisbey is mostly known for her role in the fourth installment of the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise, but she is about to break through with her part as Guinevere in Knight Of The Roundtable: King Arthur, which is the new movie by Guy Ritchie! Luckily then she was willing to pose for a photo.
Academy Award winning producer Brian Grazer was in toen to promote his new movie Get On Up, but he mostly known for producing TV-shows like "24" and "Lie To Me" and movies like "The Da Vinci Code" and "Ransom". He signed a photo of "Get On Up" and posed for a photo.
Director Tate Taylor (The Help) was also in town to promote "Get On Up". He also signed my picture of "Get On Up" and posed for a photo.
Director Gregg Araki (Kaboom, Mysterious Skin) was in town to promote his new movie White Bird In A Blizzard, starring Shailene Woodley. He signed my DVD-covers of Kaboom and Mysterious Skin and posed for a photo.
Carter Smith is at the moment actually only known for directing horror movie "The Ruins". He signed my DVD-cover and posed for a photo.
Sami Bouajila (best known for playing Annette Bening's wife in The Siege) posed for a photo.
Audrey Dana is mostly known for starring in the acclaimed movie Welcome. She was in town because she was a member of the jury. She posed for a picture with me.
