Lee Evans (There's Something About Mary, Mousehunt) was walking on his own in Soho. When my friend Lee spotted him (thanks for that) he was willing to pose for a picture.
James Cosmo (Troy, Braveheart, Sons Of Anarchy) was walking near Piccadilly Circus. When I saw him he was willing to sign my poster of Sons Of Anarchy and pose for a picture.

Juno And The Paycock @ National Theatre

The last play I went to visit was a play called "Juno And The Paycock" at the National Theatre, starring Sinead Cusack and Ciaran Hinds.

Ciaran Hinds, who came out very late, is mostly known for his part in the HBO-show "Rome" where he played Julius Ceasar" as well as villain parts in "Tomb Raider 2" and "Ghost Rider 2".
When he came out he posed for a picture and signed my posters of "Ghost Rider: The Spirit Of Vengeance", "Miami Vice", "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy", "Harry Potter 7", "The Debt" and "John Carter" and the DVD-covers of "Tomb Raider 2" and "Munich", as well as the Boxset of "Rome"
Sinead Cusack, is mostly known for her parts in "V For Vendetta" and "Eastern Promises". For me she signed the poster of "Eastern Promises" and she posed for a picture.

Hay Fever @ Noel Coward Theatre

Another stagedoor I went to pay a visit was the Noel Coward Theatre, where a play called "Hay Fever" just started. In this play are a few actors and actresses I wanted to meet, amongst them were Jeremy Northam and Olivia Colman.

Jeremy Northam (Mimic, The Tudors, The Net) wasn't to happy about posing for a picture, but he did it if I insisted he said. So I did... So, after he posed for a picture he signed my poster of "The Invasion" and the DVD-covers of "The Tudors", "The Net", "Cypher", "Gosford Park", "Enigma" and "Mimic".
Freddie Fox, known from the movie "The Three Musketeers" signed my poster of "The Three Musketeers" and posed for a picture.
Olivia Colman, known for her roles in movies like "The Iron Lady" and "Tyrannosaur" signed my poster of "The Iron Lady" and posed for a picture.

Kevin R. McNally, known for his parts in "Pirates Of The Caribbean" and the upcoming movie "The Raven" signed my poster of "The Raven" and posed for a picture.

Lindsay Duncan was not as nice as the other actors in the play, but she was wiling to sign my Boxset of Rome anyway. She was not willing to pose for a picture though.

By accident I was lucky enough to meet both actors that have portrayed Fred Flinstone in the live action movies.

John Goodman, is also known for movies like The Big Lebowski, The Blues Brothers 2000, Fallen and the series Damages and Roseanne. After some mumbling he posed for a picture with me.

Mark Addy, is also known for movies like Robin Hood, The Full Monty and series like Game Of Thrones. Mark signed my posters of Game Of Thrones and Robin Hood and my DVD-covers of Flinstones 2 and The Full Monty. The friendly actor was also very happy to take a picture with me.

Critic's Circle Awards @ National Film Theatre

This was the third year I attended the London Critic's Circle awards in London. But this time I was here by accident. Usually the awards are being handed out a couple of days before Bafta. But, I found out this year they were being held in january, and at that moment I was in London with Samantha on holiday. I did, however, check out the event at the National Film Theatre and was able to meet the following people;

Jean Dujardin, the man who is probably going to win the Academy Award for Best Actor in the silent movie The Artist, attended and won the London Critic's Circle Awards. He was willing to pose for a picture.

Carey Mulligan, known for her parts in Wall Street 2, Drive and the upcoming movie The Great Gatsby, posed for a picture. John Boyega, newcomer and known for his main part in Attack The Block, posed for a picture. Olivia Colman, known and acclaimed for her parts in The Iron Lady and Tyrannosaur, posed for a picture. Asif Kapadia, known for the acclaimed documentary Senna, about the worlds most famous driver in the world, posed for a picture. Ow, and last but not least, Michael Fassbender signed my Blu-Ray cover of 300 and posed for a picture with Samantha!

Another play I went to pay a visit was Hamlet in the Young Vic Theatre, where Michael Sheen (Twilight, Unthinkable, Frost/Nixon) played the lead, Hamlet.

Michael Sheen signed my posters of Alice In Wonderland, Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Tron: Legacy and The Special Relationship. He also signed my DVD-covers of Frost/Nixon, Unthinkable and Beautiful Boy, thanks to my girlfriend Samantha. Afterwards he posed for a picture.
Benedict Wong, who also starred in the same play, is known for his part in the Sci-Fi movie Sunshine and due to a big part in the upcoming movie Prometheus. He posed for a picture.

Richard II @ Donmar Warehouse

My first trip to London was a trip I did together with my girlfriend. Because of this reason I didn't do much collecting. I did however do a few things, including the Richard II play in The Donmar Warehouse Theatre. Eddie Redmayne (Black Death, My Week With Marilyn and The Pillars Of The Earth) was the lead is this play. He signed my Blu-Ray Boxset of The Pillard Of The Earth and the Blu-Ray of Black Death. He was also more than willing to pose for a picture.

Festival Of Fame

The first event I attended in 2012 was the Festival Of Fame convention in Cologne, Germany. I have to say that this was a convention like I've never seen before. With almost no stars, attendees or merchandise/DVD tables this was the most empty convention I've attended so far. Together with me approximately 20 other attendees were wondering what to do with the time, while they were inside. The actors were not enjoying themselves either, they were not supposed to make pictures with us, we had to wait until the photoshoot in the afternoon. But what to do with the time inbetween?

Keith David (Platoon, The Thing, Requiem For A Dream) was the mean reason I went to Cologne for this convention. Before he was told not to, he posed up for a picture with me. Very friendly guy this Keith David.
Claudia Wells, known for Back To The Future, signed my Back To The Future poster and also posed for a picture (before she was also told no to!).

Unesco Gala 2011

Every year the Unesco organisation have a gala in Dusseldorf. This year was the 20th time the gala was being held. The gala is always attended by a lot of celebrities. This year was no different and I was able to meet the following people;

Clive Owen (King Arthur, Shoot 'M Up, Sin City) is British actor who is hugely popular in Hollywood at the moment due to his leading roles in a lot of blockbusters. He signed my Sin City filmcell and posed for a photo.
Olivier Martinez, a French actor who had starring roles in several Hollywood movies like S.W.A.T., Taking Lives and Unfaithful, wasn't really in the mood to meet fans but he did sign my S.W.A.T. poster and posed for a picture though.

Academy Award winning actor Forest Whitaker (The Last King Of Scotland, Vantage Point, Platoon) attended the gala for the second time. This year he signed my poster of Ghost Dog: The Way Of The Samurai and posed for a picture.

Melanie C, former member of the Spice Girls posed for a picture.

Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan, known for Bollywood movies like Ra.One posed for a picture. Not that I knew who he was, but hundreds of extremely loud screaming girls pointed out the fact how important he is for them and Bollywood.

Jet Li, the Chinese action-star known for his parts in Romeo Must Die, Lethal Weapon 4 and Kiss Of The Dragon, signed my poster of The One. (Picture below is from Venice, 2011)

Kathleen Turner (The War Of The Roses, Romancing The Stone) signed my poster of Romancing The Stone just before she fell flat on her face on the red carpet. (Picture below is from Gent, 2007)

Weekend Of Horrors November 2011

The weekend of horrors convention is being held twice a year in Bottrop, Germany. Every year the show has a lot of cancellations, but to be fair though, this year didn't have too many...

Asia Argento, known for her roles in "XXX", "Land Of The Dead" and "Marie Antoinette", was perhaps the biggest name at the show this year. I met her before in Cannes a couple of years back, but that didn't stop me posing for another picture with her.
Linda Blair, definately mostly known for her iconic role in "The Exorcist" and the sequel "The Exorcist 2" is also known for her parts in movies like "Airport 75", "Repossessed" and "Hell Night". She signed my DVD-cover of "The Exorcist" and posed for a picture during the photoshoot.

Ray Wise is mostly known for his parts in "Twin Peaks", "Robocop" and "The Reaper". It was escpecially good for me to meet him because he is also Vice President Hal Gardner in the fifth season of "24". Because of this, he signed my poster of "24" and posed for a picture during the photoshoot.

Julian Sands is mostly known for his parts in "The Killing Fields", "Arachnophobia", "Leaving Las Vegas" and offcourse as Warlock in the "Warlock" franchise. For me he is also Vladimir Bierko is the fifth season of "24". Because of this he signed my poster of "24" and posed for a picture during the photoshoot.

David Naughton, is best known for his part as David Kessler in "An American Werewolf In London", which is a classic horror movie without a doubt. He posed for a picture with me.

Ladislav Beran, is mostly known his part as Karl Ruprecht Kroenen in the movie "Hellboy". He signed my "Hellboy" filmcell and posed for a picture.

John Amplas is mostly known for his parts in "Martin", "Creepshow" and offcourse "Day Of The Dead". He posed for a picture with me.
Bill Mosely, known for his parts in "The Devil's Rejects", "House Of A 1000 Corpses" and "Halloween" posed for a picture.
Kathleen Kinmont, mostly known for her part in the series "Renegade" is also known for her parts in "Halloween 4" and "Bride Of The Re-Animator". She posed for a picture during the photoshoot.
The German cannibal movie "Cannibal Diner" was promoted at the show. For this three girls that play parts in the horror movie attended the show to pose for pictures and hand out autographs.

Although there wasn't going to be a Belgium premiere for the fourth Twilight installment, there was a fanevent for all the fans of Twilight being held in Brussels. Special guests for this event were Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) and Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen). I have been to many event like these, but this event was one of the most busiest I've ever been to. In this mayhem I was able to meet both Twilight actors.

Because Tintin (Kuifje in Dutch) is from Belgium, the world premiere of the new movie "Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn" was being held in Brussels. For this special occasion legendary director Steven Spielberg and Jamie Bell (Tintin) came over to Belgium.

Hans Zimmer @ Marriot Hotel Gent

One of the biggest names in the world of instrumental soundtracks (scores) is Hans Zimmer. I was glad that he attended the world soundtrack awards this year, being held in Gent. I met him in the lobby of the Marriot Hotel in Gent where he was staying. He signed my soundtracks of "Gladiator", "Mission: Impossible 2", "Inception", "Broken Arrow", "Matchstick Men", "Black Hawk Down" and "Sherlock Holmes".

Film By The Sea 2011: Paul Verhoeven

At this years Film By The Sea festival in Vlissingen, internationally acclaimed director Paul Verhoeven, was a jury member. I waited fo him in the lobby of his, presumed, hotel. When I saw him I asked for a picture which he didn't mind at all. When I asked him to sign some items he said he was in a bit of a hurry, but he was willing to sign for me the following items; the posters of "Basic Instinct", "Robocop" and "Total Recall", my deluxe boxset of "Zwartboek" en the boxsets "Robocop trilogy" and a special edition of "Basic Instinct". Besides these items he also signed my DVD-covers of "Total Recall", "Basic Instinct", "Hollow Man", "Showgirls", "Starship Troopers", "Flesh & Blood", "Soldaat Van Oranje", "Spetters", "De Vierde Man" and "Turks Fruit". So that means he signed 16 items in total for me... unbelievable!

68th Venice Filmfestival: Al Pacino

This year a special award, Glory To The Filmmaker, was handed out to Academy Award winning actor Al Pacino (Scarface, Heat, The Godfather). Actually he was the main reason I was willing to check out the Venice Filmfestival. So you can imagine I was very glad to meet the legendary actor in person. He signed my filmcells of "Scarface" and "Ocean's 13" and thanks to Samantha the poster of "Heat". And I was even more happy when he posed for a picture with me! Although looking back I have to admit that it's not easy collecting in Venice but I'm happy that I went anyway!

68th Venice Filmfestival: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

For me one of the most important days was the day "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" was going to have a premiere in Venice. It was that important because Gary Oldman ("Leon", "The Fith Element", "The Dark Knight" was the lead actor and because of that he would probably show up for it... And luckily for me, he did!

Gary Oldman signed my posters of "The Dark Knight", "The Dark Knight Rises", "Harry Potter 7" and "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy". He also signed my DVD-covers of "Leon", "The Fifth Element" and "Air Force One". After signing all these items he was willing to pose for a picture. Great guy this Gary Oldman!!!

The opening movie of this year's Venice Filmfestival was "The Ides Of March", the new movie directed by George Clooney and also starring George Clooney. Besides Clooney, Marisa Tomei, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti and Evan Rachel Wood came to Venice to promote the movie.

George Clooney (Batman & Robin, The Perfect Storm, Syriana) signed my DVD-covers of "The Perfect Storm", "Three Kings", my filmcell of "Ocean's 13" and the poster of "The Ides Of March". He was willing to pose for a picture with me...

One of the most surprising guests to attend the filmfestival was actor Jet Li (The Expendables, Lethal Weapon 4, Kiss Of The Dragon). The new movie of Academy Award winning director Roman Polanski, "Carnage", also premiered in Venice. Although the director didn't show up in Venice, Kate Winslet (Titanic), John C. Reilly (Step Brothers), Christoph Waltz (Inglorious Basterds) and composer Alexandre Desplat (The Queen) luckily did show up in Venice.

A certain highlight of the filmfestival was without doubt the movie "A Dangerous Method", directed by David Cronenberg (The Fly, Eastern Promises). The movie stars Keira Knightley (Pirates Of The Carribean), Viggo Mortensen (Lord Of The Rings), Michael Fassbender (X Men-First Class) and Vincent Cassel (Black Swan). Unfortunately for me it wasn't a highlight... Keira Knightley was as always not very friendly for her fans and I wasn't able to get a single picture with one of them...

68th Venice Filmfestival: Contagion

Another highlight of the festival was a new movie directed by Steven Soderbergh (Traffic, Ocean's 11,12 & 13) called "Contagion". To promote this movie Steven Soderbergh, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Ehle, Lawrence Fishburne and Matt Damon came over to Venice. Unfortunately it was almost impossible to meet them, even at the the premiere and the press conference. They were just not allowed (?!?!) to meet the fans.

Matt Damon broke the rules for almost 30 seconds where I was able to get his signature on my "Contagion" poster. A picture with the bald shaven actor was absolutely impossible. Luckily for me I already got a picture with him at "The Bourne Ultimatum" premiere in Amsterdam in 2007.

Eli Roth, director of Hostel and Hostel 2, is mostly known for his part in Inglorious Basterds. When he attended the red carpet premiere of Contagion he signed my poster of Inglorious Basterds en posed for a picture.

The controversial director Abel Ferrara (Bad Lieutenant, King Of New York) was in Venice to promote his latest movie 4:44 Last Day On Earth, starring Willem Dafoe. When I met Abel Ferarra, I thought he was a bit strange, but he signed my DVD-covers of Bad Lieutenant (the original version) and King Of New York. He also posed for a picture inside the Excelsior hotel.

Another movie at the Venice Filmfestival was the movie Un été brûlant, starring Monica Bellucci (The Matrix Reloaded, The Passion Of The Christ, Shoot 'm Up) and Louis Garrel (The Dreamers, Ma Mere). I was able to meet both of them inside the Excelsior hotel.

Darren Aronofsky, the acclaimed director of movies like "The Wrestler", "Requiem For A Dream" and "Black Swan", had the privilege to head this year's jury at the prestigious Venice Filmfestival. I was lucky enough to meet him in person two times at the festival. During these two times he signed my poster of "Black Swan", a picture of "The Wrestler" and the DVD-cover of "Black Swan". He also posed for a picture both times.

68th Venice Filmfestival: W.E.

In order to see new places of our planet, I decided to go a filmfestival I've never been to. It si also a filmfestival I've never been told stories of, so I didn't know what to expect. Because of this and the reason Venice is one of the most romantic places in the world, I decided to combine the filmfestival with a vacation with my girlfriend Samantha. This means I wasn't a hundred percent dedicated "celebrityhunter" this time. Although I think Venice is not an easy place to meet the stars I managed to meet some celebrities.

One of the highlights of the festival was the premiere of the second movie Madonna directed, the movie "W.E." Madonna and a couple of stars from the movie where all present in Venice but I've only managed to meet the lead actress from the movie; Andrea Riseborough (Happy-Go-Lucky, Brighton Rock, Made in Dagenham). When I met her inside the Excelsior hotel she was willing to pose for a picture with me.

Every year a lot of actors and actresses attend the London Film & Comic Con, Britain's largest movie convention. I hesitated to attend it myself this year but I went after all. Below are the people I was able to meet at the event.

Corey Feldman (The Goonies, Stand By Me, The Lost Boys) made this picture with me, because I wanted one without his sunglasses, which he waired during the paid photosession (?!?)

Brent Spiner is known for his role as Data in the Star Trek series and movies. He is also known for movies like Independence Day and Superhero Movie. This is the paid for photoshoot.

This was the second time I met Tom Sizemore. The first time was in Germany a few months ago, which was actually a very strange meeting. This second meet was even stranger. The last theatre I went to visit this trip was the Comedy Theatre, where Kristin Scott Thomas plays the lead in Betrayal.

Kristin Scott Thomas (The English Patient, Mission Impossible) isn´t the most pleasant lady to meet. She refused me several times for a picture with her and I´ve managed to get only one autograph and this several years ago already. Another play I visited was Pygmalion @ Garrick Theatre. In this play the leadactor was Rupert Everett (Inspector Gadget, Shrek The Third). When he came out of the theatre, it was very crowded but he signed a lot and posed for a lot of pictures. For me he signed my Shrek The Third filmcell and posed for a picture.
Diana Rigg is the lead Bondgirl from the movie On Her Majesty´s Secret Service. I´ve met her before but was unable to get a picture with her then, because she refused. This time she didn´t luckily, but again due to the large amount of people it was hard work.

Every year the Cinema Expo is being held in Amsterdam. This year was the 20th year the exhibition was held in Amsterdam and the first time it was calles by it's new name CineEurope.
The convention is not open for the public, but only accessible for movie theatre people after paying a large fee. Every year a couple of Hollywood actors/directors come to Holland to promote new movies.

This year Antonio Banderas ("Assassins", "Desperado", "The Mask Of Zorro") was in Amsterdam to promote "Puss In Boots". He signed my filmcell of "Shrek The Third" and posed for a photo... again.
Jeffrey Katzenberg, producer of Dreamworks movies like "Shrek", "Shrek 2" and "Shark Tale" and one of the creators of Dreamworks Pictures. He posed for a picture.
Peter Berg, known as director for such as "Welcome To The Jungle", "Hancock" and "The Kingdom" and as actor for "Copland", "Lions For Lambs" and "Collateral". He was in town to promote his upcoming movie "Battleship". For me he signed the DVD-covers "Lions For Lambs", "Copland", "Hancock" and the Blu Ray-cover of "Hancock" and he posed for a picture.

Weekend Of Cancellations May 2011

Like every year, this year was also looking very good for the Weekend Of Horrors. But also like every year most of the guests were cancelled. Not because they are unable to come or because they are sick, but because they were never booked or never booked a flight for. This kind of flase advertisement made me find a way to enter the venue for free, instead of paying the regular fee of 27 euro's.

Tom Sizemore ("Heat", "Saving Private Ryan", "Black Hawk Down", "Pearl Harbor") is a great actor, but unfortunately due to mutiple addictions he hasn't done a decent movie for years. At the show you could easily see him struggling through the day (without a shot?) and it took him a long time to sign for fans and most of the time he didn't look at you but he was looking at the ground the complete duration. Also during the photoshoot it was obvious that he wasn't doing good at all! For me signed the DVD-cover of "Saving Private Ryan" and the Blu Ray-cover of "Heat". Off course I also did a photoshoot with the guy!
Jake Busey ("The Hitcher 2", "Starship Troopers", "Identity") came without his father, bacause he had to look after Jake's brother. But that didn't hold me back fro doing a photoshoot with this friendly actor!
Danielle Harris cancelled the Weekend Of Horrors so many times that I lost count. I couldn't belive my eyes when I found out that indeed she was really there!!! Danielle Harris is mostly famous for her roles in the old "Halloween" franchise and the new "Halloween" franchise. I decided to do a photoshoot with her.
This was actually the first picture that was taken, but I decided to do another one.

John Malkovich @ Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen

When I picked up the info that two time Academy Award nominated actor John Malkovich ("Con Air", "Dangerous Liaisons", "Ripley's Game") was doing a play in Recklinghausen, Germany, I instant wanted to try it. It was very convenient that I could combine it with the Weekend Of Horrors, better known as the Weekend Of Cancellations, which was being held nearby in Bottrop. Before I went to the convention I waited outside the theatre for his arrival. When he actually did arrive, the exentric actor posed for a picture with me. he was very reluctant about signing so I'm very happy that I got a picture with him at least.

Antwerp Convention 2011

For the first time ever the Antwerp convention was being held in, ofcourse, Antwerp! This convention was mainly for Sci-Fi, Horror & Fantasy lovers. The convention itself wasn't that big, Rene and me discovered when we arrived at the venue. After some time I was going to check the guests, which weren't busy at all. Actually surprisingly enough they was no line for a single guest.

Rugerro Deodato is an Italian director mostly known for his horrifying cannibal movie "Cannibal Holocaust" in which he used real animal slaughter. The infamous director posed for a picture.

Fred Williamson, mostly known for his parts in "From Dusk Till Dawn" and "Starksy & Hutch" posed for a picture.
Scott Capurro, who voiced "Beed" in the movie "Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace" posed for a picture.
Uwe Boll, the world's worst director ever is mostly known for his completely absurd, badly directed movies, such as "Alone In The Dark", "Alone In The Dark 2", "Bloodrayne", "Bloodrayne 2", "Bloodrayne 3", "Tunnel Rats", "Stoic", "Seed", "In The Name Of The King", "Postal" and his new movie "Auswitz". He signed my previously made posed picture and posed for a new one. Keep up doing the bad job Uwe. Make all the Germans proud!

Fedcon 2011

Every year het Fedcon is being held in Germany. The Fedcon is a convention for Sci-Fi loves. That means special guests from series like Star Trek, Stargate and Firefly are no exceptions.
This year was the 20th birthday of the show, which gets more crowded every year.

The most special guest this year was Richard Dean Anderson, known for his mainparts in "MacGyver" and "Stargate". Because this man is sort of a legend I decided to do the photoshoot with him. What I didn't know at the moment was that he gained some (?) weight and he was wearing a funny (?) hat. Below you an see the result of the photoshoot I've done with Richard.

Will Wheaton, known for his parts in "Stand By Me", "Toy Soldiers" and the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" series. It was very special that he did a show in Europe, because I couldn't remember a single Europian show he attended. Will was very nice and posed for a picture for free, while I didn't even buy an autograph.

Kate Vernon, who plays Ellen Tigh in the new "Battlestar Galactica" series signed my poster and posed for a picture... Also, very nice woman!

Fast & Furious 5 Premiere @ Cologne Cinedom

After seeing a few stars from the movie in Amsterdam, I decided to go to the German premiere in Cologne as well the day after. In Germany more people from the movie would attend the premiere and amongst them there were a few I've never met before. So plenty of reason to go. Unfortunately the weather wasn't as nice as it was in Amsterdam, but luckily for us (me, Rene & Roy) it stopped raining at the moment we decided to wait at the venue. And there we waited...and waited... And more people waited...

And even more people waited...
The first one to arrive was Tyrese Gibson, known for movies as "2 Fast, 2 Furious", "Tranformers", "Death Race" and many others. First he didn't want to sign or pose for me, the second time he didn't want to do it... But finally he did it, he signed my Filmcell of "Transformers" and posed fo a picture. Many thanks for the security guy for peeping into the picture as well!
Elsa Pataky, also known for her part in the enjoyable movie "Snakes On A Plane" signed the DVD-cover of that movie and posed for a picture...
Gal Gadot, also known for her part in Fast & Furious (4) posed for a picture.
Justin Lin, the director of the movie, signed the picture I've got with him in Amsterdam and he posed for a new picture... We also talked about his upcoming movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger, a new Terminator movie!!!!!!! Woohoo, well done Justin, I hope you find the correct studio to support it!

Fast People @ Amstel Hotel Amsterdam

To promote the fifth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, a couple of actors came to Amsterdam. A premiere was held at the Pathe Arena, next to the (in)famous football stadium. Together with fellow collectors Rene and Roy we decided to wait at the hotel where they were staying. After some waiting I was able to meet Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. He signed my "The Mummy" trilogy Blu Ray Boxset, my dvd-covers of "Welcome To The Jungle", "Doom" and "Walking Tall". He was also more than willing to pose for this nice picture... Really nice guy!
Paul Walker ("The Fast & The Furious", "Into The Blue", "Takers"), whom I had already met during the German premiere of the fourth installment signed my poster of "Into The Blue" and posed for a picture.
When he came back Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson signed my previously posed picture and the DVD-covers of "The Other Guys" and "Be Cool". And why not make another picture with The Rock while at it?
Justin Lin, the director of the 3rd, 4th and 5th installment of the franchise, signed my DVD-coves of "Fast & Furious" and "Annapolis". Also, he posed fot a picture.
Not so fast Dutch singer Rene Froger departed the hotel while we were waiting for the others. I took the opportunity to make a picture with the singer.

BIFFF 2011: GOH Renny Harlin

This year my last trip to Brussels for the BIFFF was for acclaimed action director Renny Harlin. I went to Brussels early in the afternoon together with fellow collectors Bart & Rene. When we arrived at BIFFF we saw that we were actually early and almost no visitors and crew were already at the location. Together with Bart I decided to wait outside for his (may be early) arrival. When that actually happened, ofcourse the unfortunate Rene was nowhere to be found. While completing my Renny Harlin autograph collection (11 autographs in one meet!) Rene was checking out some DVD's. Renny signed my DVD-covers of "Die Hard 2", "The Long Kiss Good Night", "Cliffhanger", "Cutthroat Island", "Driven", "Mindhunters", "The Covenant", "12 Rounds", "Deep Blue Sea", "Exorcist: The Beginning" and my Gift-Set with all the "Nightmare On elm Street" movies, for which he directed the fourth installment. This second picture was actually the first one I took with Renny Harlin when he got out of the car.

Like every year in april, this year there is also the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF) taking place. And, like every year, they also have a few cool guests to attend to festival. This time the first day I went to the festival (with Rene, Bart & Tom) was on the premiere of the movie "La Proie" for which actress Catarina Murino came over to Brussels to promote the movie. Catarina Murino is mostly known for her Bond-Girl part in the James Bond movie "Casino Royale". After her Q&A she signed my Blu-Ray covers of "Casino Royale" and "XIII" and posed for the picture.

Hannibal Lecter Visits Maastricht!

It was quite a suprise when I was secretly tipped off that legendary Hollywood actor Anthony Hopkins (Silence Of The Lambs, The Elephant Man, The Bounty, The Mask Of Zorro) was coming to our very own capital city of the province, namely Maastricht. Holland never gets many celebrities coming over, but Maastricht was really unbelievable. I decided to wait anyway and it was true. Anthony Hopkins was indeed in Maastricht. When he arrived he signed my DVD-covers of Silence Of The Lambs, Red Dragon, The Mask Of Zorro and Bad Company. As you cab see the legendary Academy Award winning actor was very friendly it wasn't a problem at all to get a picture with him.

Bafta Afterparty @ Grosvenor House Hotel

Like last year, this year I also booked a room in the hotel where the afterparty was being held. It costed me some money but I had a good night and a good sleep.

Samuel L. Jackson, known for movies like "Pulp Fiction", "Die Hard With A Vengeance", "Jurassic Park" and "Star Wars", posed for a picture, which was very unusual because he isn;t very friendly to fans normally... You can imagine that I was very pleased with this picture.
Colin Firth ("The King's Speech", "A Single Man", "Love Actually") won the Bafta for best actor two years in a row. He handed me the Bafta for best fan 2010, due to my commitment as a "celebrityhunter" in the last year. As you can see he posed for a picture for this wonderful moment.

Annette Bening, known for her performance in "American Beauty", "Open Range" and "Mars Attacks!" posed for a picture, which was much better as the one I got with her outside her hotel.

Amy Adams, whom I already met two times this trip posed again for a picture with me. This time the picture is perfect!

The last hotel were I went in search of celebrities was Claridge's. Just like Dorchester is this hotel a regular used hotel for celebrities. This trip I've met the following celebrities at this hotel.

Mark Ruffalo, the Acamedy Award Nominee, is mostly known for his parts in "Zodiac", "Blindness", "Shutter Island" and the upcoming "The Avengers" ensemble movie. Mark ruffalo has always been one of my favourite actors so I was very happy to meet him. He signed my "Blindness" posterphoto and posed for a picture outside of the hotel.

Annette Bening (American Beauty, Mars Attacks!, Open Range, The Siege) has already been nominated for 4 Academy Awards. When she came out of the hotel she signed the DVD-cover of my all time favourite movie American Beauty. She also tried to pose for a picture with me, but because she didn't dare to come closer it isn't the best picture you could imagine unfortunately.

As usual als the Dorchester hotel had some famous Bafta related guests. At this hotel this trip I was able to meet Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Zombieland, Cursed). Jesse signed my DVD-covers of Cursed, The Village, Solitary Man and the Blu-Ray cover of Zombieland. After all the signing he posed for a picture.

During my trip to London I went to the Covent Garden Hotel several times trying to spot some celebrities. This time I was lucky enough to spot some celebrities at this prestigious hotel.

The Academy Award nominee Danny De Vito is mostly known for his roles in "Romancing The Stone", "Mars Attacks!", "Twins" and off course "Batman Returns" in which he plays Batman's nemisis The Penguin. For me signed the DVD-covers of "Mars Attacks!" and "Solitary Man" and the friendly actor posed for a picture.

Ethan Coen, who is one of the two famous Coen Brothers, also walked into the Covent Garden Hotel. Both he and Joel are not easy going people with signing and posing for pictures. Luckily Ethan is slightly more friendly than his brothers, so he was willing to pose for a picture. Together with his brother he made instant classics like "The Big Lebowski", "Fargo", "No Country For Old Men" and the recently released "True Grit".
Amy Adams, who is three time Academy Award nominee already, checked into the Covent Garden Hotel. When she arrived she signed my DVD-covers of "Julie & Julia", "Doubt" and "Enchanted" and was more than willing to pose for nice picture with me.

Gabriel Byrne, who plays main parts in movies like "The Usual Suspects", "End Of Days", "Stigmata", "Miller's Crossing" and he is also the main guy in the new HBO-series "In Treatment". When we saw him at the hotel he signed my DVD-cover of "Spider" and posed for a picture.

Sandra Bernard, the American funny girl, is mostly known for her stand-up performances. She is also known for her part in the Bruce Willis movie "Hudson Hawk". When we saw her coming back from lunch she signed my DVD-cover of "Hudson Hawk" and posed for a picture in the rain.

Rhea Perlman, the wife of Danny De Vito is mostly known for her part in "Cheers" is was recently seen in the HBO-series "Hung". She was, just as her husband, willing to pose for a picture.

When he checked out, Danny De Vito was again more than willing to pose for a picture. I was very happy to get a picture with him a day before, but I thought it would be fun to make another one with him while he looked very different.
Also, Amy Adams, was willing to make another picture with me. And this time, luckily, without sunglasses.
Ruth Wilson, who is mostly known for her part in the recently released television series "The Prisoner" and "Luther" was willing to pose for a picture when she left the hotel.
Terry Gilliam, the Academy Award nominee, is a director with a couple of strange movies on his CV, like "12 Monkeys", "Tideland", "Brazil" and recently "The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus". He signed the DVD-cover of "The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus" for me and posed, like every time I've met him, for a picture.

Sir Christopher Lee On The Street

Thanks to Tom I was able to meet this legend...again. Tom saw Sir Christopher Lee (Lord Of The Rings, Star Wars, The Man With The Golden Gun, Dracula) sitting in a car while he drove past us. We decided to follow him a little bit and luckily for us he stopped after a short while. When he got out of the car I managed to get a new and improved picture with him and after that he was also willing to sign my Lord Of The Rings filmcell.

Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl, 100 Feet) is the American actor who plays Chuck in the hitseries "Gossip Girl" was in London to promote the upcoming E1-movie Chalet Girl (I'm already looking forward to the DVD-release of that one, see if it gets a DVD-menu!). I met him when he checked out the Soho on his way back to the States. For me signed a group photo of Gossip Girl and also the first season on DVD. With help from Tom he also signed the second season on DVD and the DVD-cover of 100 Feet! He posed two times for a photo, which you can see are both not brilliant!

Critic's Circle Film Awards 2011

Last year the Critic's Circle Film Awards were being held in the Landmark Hotel in London. A location I liked very much. It was the location were I met Quentin Tarantino, Timothy Spall, Michael Fassbender and a handfull of other great people. This year they changed the location to the BFI building unfortunately. That means more and better security and less access to the stars. But this year the Critic's Circle Awards had less stars than the last year.

I've managed to meet Will Poulter (Son Of Rambow, The Chronicles Of Narnia 3) who posed for a picture with me.
Olivia Williams (The Ghost Writer, The Sixth Sense) is not a new one for me, but because she is always nice to her fans I decided to make another picture with her.

Valerie Leon (who was a Bond girl in The Spy Who Loved Me and Never Say Never Again) posed for a picture.

Aaron Sorkin (who is going to win the Academy Award for best screenwriter for The Social's Network) is the creator of the television series The West Wing. Therefor he signed my DVD-Boxset of The West Wing and posed for a picture.

Thomas Turgoose (known from This Is England and Eden Lake) posed for a picture.

So compared to last year the Critic's Circle Awards weren't that good at all...

Julie Walters, the acclaimed English actress known for her parts in Harry Potter, Calendar Girls and Mama Mia! had a talk in the BFI building in London. There in the crowd, she signed my DVD-covers of Mama Mia! and Calendar Girls. When I asked for a quick picture she first refused by saying there is no such thing as a quick picture. Later, she decided to do it anyway...

Luckily for me I got my picture with Julie Walters before fellow collector Tom decided to rape the poor old lady! (Sorry Tom, I couldn't resist...)

Twelfth Night @ National Theatre

Another theatre stagedoor I visited was "Twelfth Night", again at the National Theatre. Not because of the female lead, upcoming actress Rebecca Hall (The Town, Vicky Christina Barcelona), but more so for he supporting cast.

Marton Csokas (The Lord Of The Rings, XXX) was one of the friendliest actors I have ever met. When he came out of the stagedoor he appologised to me, Tom and Teflon/Pannensponsje because he had a few drinks inside and let us wait because of that. He signed my Lord Of The Rings filmcell, my Aeon Flux DVD-cover and my Blu-Ray cover of XXX and posed for a picture. After that he walked away with us and chatted to me and Tom about a lot of things. Again... A very pleasant meet!

Simon Callow (Amadeus, Ace Ventura 2, Four Weddings And A Funeral) looks a little bit strange. Although he was friendly enough to sign my Blu-Ray cover of Amadeus and posed for a picture.

Frankenstein @ National Theatre

While being in London in lately I couldn't resist to take a look at a few stagedoors of theatres. This time I decided to take a look at the stagedoor of the National Theatre, where Danny Boyle directs a play called Frankenstein. In this play a few "famous" actors act live on stage. Among these actors were Johnny Lee Miller (whom I never saw!), Benedict Cumberbatch (Will play the lead in the upcoming Steven Spielberg movie "War Horse"), George Harris and Naomie Harris.

Benedict Cumberbatch, known due to his part as Sherlock Holmes in the latest acclaimed series, will also play the lead in the upcoming Steven Spielberg movie calles "War Horse". So he is probably going to be bigger than he is even now! He didn't mind to pose for a picture...
George Harris, the only pirate who wasn't in a pirate film, is known for movies like "Raiders Of The Lost Ark", "Black Hawk Down" and "Layer Cake". After he signed my DVD-cover of "Layer Cake", he again posed for a picture.

Naomie Harris, known for her part in the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies, signed my DVD-covers of "After The Sunset" and "Ninja Assassin" but didn't want to pose for a picture... unfortunately.

XL Schnitzel With Bacon!

A new year doesn't always mean a new beginning... Sometimes people go on with what they are doing best. Last year I closed with Michael Madsen. This year I've opened with Kevin Bacon. Together with his brother Michael he formed "The Bacon Brothers" and they performed in Bochum, Germany. Fellow collector Roy accompanied me to Bochum and when we arrived at the venue (Zeche) we were not convinced that we would be able to meet him. Luckily for us we managed to see in which hotel he was staying, and while we were leaving all the German collectors at the venue we drove off to the hotel. When we arrived there we saw Kevin but we were unable to get him at that point. We decided to get something to eat in the nearby shopping centre (The same shopping centre we visited a while back for the Fast & Furious premiere.). After I had a few delicious "schnitzels mit jagersauce" at Currie Karl, we went back to the venue , but the situation still wasn't hopefull. Because we were the only 2 collectors who knew where he was staying we decided to wait for him at the hotel when he would come back.
When he arrived at the hotel he signed (the following DVD-covers; "Mystic River", "Tremors", "Wild Things", "Stir Of Echoes", "A Few Good Men", "Hollow Man", "Death Sentence", "Sleepers", "The River Wild", "Apollo 13", "Trapped" and "The Woodsman") and I got my picture with him and we drove back home.

Stuck In The Middle With Michael Madsen

One of the coolest actors ever is without doubt Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, Species). Although he doesn't make many decent movies, a couple he did make were instant classics. For example I cannot imagine a "Reservoir Dogs" without Michael Madsen playing Mr. Blonde. So you can imagine I was very pleased to hear to he was coming over to out small country to be present at a festival in The Hague. When he arrived at the venue he signed my DVD-covers of Reservoir Dogs and Donnie Brasco and my poster of 24. He was really friendly and chatted away with us. Off course he didn't mind taking a picture with me...

Weekend Of Cancellations November 2010

It has been a year since the last Weekend Of Cancellations. The show formerly known as the Weekend Of Horrors this year was ready for some big announcements and even bigger cancellations. The last weekend of cancellations was even cancelled completely due to vulcanic ash, which was only affecting the area of Bottrop, Germany and not the rest of the world.

After the organiser decided he was not going to book flights for a few big guests, and a couple guests decided to cancel themselves there wasn´t really much going on this particulary weekend. But that didn´t matter to the massive amount of visitors who decided to visit the well organised show.
Amongst these visitors were besides myself fellow collector´s Bart, Gregory, Tom and off course Rene.

Legendary director Dario Argento, known for directing movies such as Suspiria, Il fantasma dell'opera, Giallo and Tenebre, was the most important guest for me this time. For 30 euro he was willing to pose for a picture during the photoshoot at the show.

Udo Kier, known for movies such as Halloween, FeardotCom, End of Days and off course Blade, posed for a picture during the photoshoot.

Fred Williamson, known for movies like Starsky & Hutch and From Dusk Till Dawn, posed for a picture during the photoshoot.

Tito Larriva, known for parts in From Dusk Till Dawn, Desperado and Machete posed for a picture during the photoshoot.

I met actor Danny Trejo before, but now he was the main actor in the movie Machete, I decided to meet him again. so was willing to sign my poster of Machete and due to friendly but not so bright crewmember he signed a postershot of Machete as well...for free! I would like to thank this crewmember and I would love to see him next year again!

Two of the biggest surprises of my two day trip were the actors I was lucky enough to meet at the Covent Garden Hotel in London.

The first surprise was actor Colin Farrell, known for his parts in movies such as Miami Vice, S.W.A.T., Minority Report and off course Alexander. When he checked in at the hotel, two minutes after Rene decided he wouldn´t wait any longer and left, he was willing to pose for a picture.

Harry Potter... Who doesn't know him? Well the whole world does! And we are coming to it's conclusion too. Enough reason for me to attend the world premiere of the seventh movie (part 1) in London. David Haig is "mostly" known for his roles/cameo's in movies like Four Weddings And A Funeral, Two Weeks Notice and off course A For Andromeda. An Evening With Dolph Lundgren

The London Film Museum hosted "an evening with Dolph Lundgren", due to the DVD en Blu-Ray release of the movie The Expendables next month. During this evening the action star talked about his carreer and off course his part in the blockbustermovie The Expendables. You could only attend this event if you won tickets in a competition, in which I didn't participate. So Rene and myself decided to try and meet him while he arrived at the museum or left the venue again. Luckily for me, not so lucky for Rene, fellow collector Luke invited me to join him during to talk and the signing session which would follow afterwards. So after leaving Rene in the cold, I entered the warm auditorium of the Film Museum together with Luke. After listening to his enjoyable talk, where he did impersonations of Sylvester Stallone and Christopher Walken, I was the first one to meet him during his free signingsession. For me Dolph signed a postershot from The Expendables. Afterwards he asked me if I wanted to do photo...I couldn't refuse!

Unesco Gala 2010

Like last year, this year the annual Unesco Gala was being held in the Maritim Hotel in Dusseldorf, Germany. And like last year a couple of celebrities attended the Gala. So enough reason for me to attend it as well, together with Tom and Roy.

The most important guest this year for me was director Oliver Stone. The three time Academy Award winner directed a couple of classic movies like Wall Street, Platoon, JFK, Natural Born Killers and more recently Alexander. For me he signed the Oliver Stone Collection boxset, containing almost all his movies and the DVD-cover of Platoon. He was also wlling to pose for a picture...

Sienna Miller, the girlfriend of Jude Law, is mostly known due to her parts in G:I Joe (which I really liked) and Interview. The lovely actress was more then willing to pose for a picture.

Armin Mueller-Stahl', the German actor, is mostly known for his parts in international acclaimed movies like The X Files Movie, The International, The Game and recently Angels & Demons. For me signed the DVD-cover of The Thirteenth Floor and the Blu Ray-covers of Angels & Demons and The International. After that he posed for a picture...

Jackass 3D Premiere @ Amsterdam Arena

For me it was the first time I attended a premiere in the Amsterdam Arena. When I arrived a little bit late due to working commitments, I experienced a lot of people there which was not very pleasant espescially because they occupied the complete first row. So me and Tom decided to wait inside, where we met ll of them after waiting only 20 minutes...
Johnny Knoxville, creator of Jackass, is also known from his parts in Men In Black 2 and The Dukes Of Hazzard. For me he signed the DVD-cover of the second Jackass movie and he was willing to pose for a picture...luckily!

Europe's biggest annual movie-event is F.A.C.T.S in Ghent, Belgium. This event is getting bigger every year and this year thee were two big halls (So twice as big as LFCC!) filled with movie related stuff and one big hall filled with game related stuff. Among the attendees are children, autograph hunters, people who want a lot of attention, psycho's and devotees. Among these people I went up to the stars to meet them...again.

For the second time in one week I was going to try to meet Academy Award winning actor Tom Robbins, most known for movies as: The Shawshank Redemption, Mystic River and Arlington Road. Last week when I met him I wasn't able to get a picture with him because he just didn't want to do it, but instead he signed my Blu Ray cover of The Shawshank Redemption. So this time I didn't go Germany but to our capital Amsterdam instead. While walking through the citycentre, I spotted him riding a bicycle. When he stopped to smoke a cigarette I approached him to ask him for a picture with him. This time he was ok with it, and this is the result.

After a two weeks vacation without any celebs, it was about time that I was going to meet at least one. And so I did. Only because Tim Robbins is one of many actors who turned into singer, he came over to Cologne to perform in the Luxor Theatre, right in the middle of Cologne's ghetto, amongst dead rats and people you don't want to bump into in a dark alley...sometimes even a light alley. When the Oscar winning actor arrived at the, not zo, beautiful venue 6 collector's were waiting for him, including myself, Bart and the always present Rene. Tim decided he would sign one each and unfortunately no pictures with... :-(
For me he signed the Blu-Ray cover of The Shawshank Redemption. And as with most celebrities meet-ups Rene almost mist him but managed to get a quick autograph right before he walked in.
So, not the best experience of my life, but it was an experience after all...

Movie & Comic Event 2010

After a long time the Movie & Comic Event in Bottrop Germany was finally being held again. Even more then previous years, this edition suffered from more cancellations then visitors. It all looked like a private signing with maybe only 50 visitors, and I am not exaggerating at all. But except for one cancellation, everyone who I wanted to meet was at the convention to sign, pose, talk and (most of the time) do nothing.

Robert Knepper, known from the hitseries "Prison Break" and "Heroes", signed my Heroes-Artwork and posed for a smiling picture!
And for a serious one as well...

Michael Beck, mostly known for his starring role in the classic movie The Warriors, posed for a picture.

Deborah Van Valkenburgh, also mostly known for the movie The Warriors, was also one the female leads in the Christopher Lambert-movie Mean Guns, which I think is the Lambert ever made...

David Rasche, known for his role as Sledge Hammer in the series Sledge Hammer. He posed for a picture...

Marilyn Burns, known as the female lead in the original The Texas Chain Saw Massacre posed for a picture. All cosy with a chainsaw, something different as being cosy with a small child.

After these private meet & greets we drove back home.

The Other Guys UK Gala Premiere

After my rendez-vous with the two main actors of the movie I decided to go Leicester Square where the premiere was being held later on. Around 6.00 two things where due to happen, the stars where expected to attend an it was expected to rain, slightly. Only one of then became a reality. The rain...and it wasn't exactly a drizzle!

When the stars arrived, the only one who really made an effort for his fans was Mark Wahlberg, who signed my DVD-covers of Shooter, The Truth About Charlie, The Perfect Storm, Three Kings and the Blu-Ray cover of The Happening. After that, he was willing to do a picture with me...again!Adam McKay, director of the movie, appreared to be drunk... He signed my DVD-cover of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and fucked up my picture with him...

Moviedays 2010

This time no visit to London for me... but a visit to Germany! After a 3,5 hours drive and a 30 minutes breakfast I arrived in Braunschweig together with fellowcollector Rene for a convention called Moviedays. It was the second time this convention was being held in Germany and the first time I went to pay it a visit. Like woth almost every other convention I drove over there to meet some special guests, not to buy some memorabilia. Well offcourse that can be nice as too :-)

There are always people at those conventions I've already met, but sometimes there are still people at these small(er) shows whom I didn't have to pleasure of meeting (yet). This time there were even some actors I was dying to meet for years now!

Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus, who play the lead in the cult classic The Boondock Saints and it's sequel, flew over to Germany for this show to meet their fans. I cannot recall a single occasion were they appeared at a show for a signing so I was very lucky to meet them both this weekend.
Sean Patrick Flanery signed my poster of The Boondock Saints and my DVD-boxset of The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones which he really liked. Norman Reedus signed my poster of The Boondock Saints as well and I did a photoshoot with the two saints together which was great!
I was so happy to meet them that I even did a special boondock saints-photoshoot with to two of them together with many thanks to Stjepko!

The other actor I was very happy to meet was Tony Todd, best known for his starring role as Candyman in the Candyman-movies. For me he signed the DVD-cover of The Rock and my poster of "24" in which he plays villain General Benjamin Juma. After the signing we did a photoshoot together. And because he really liked what he was doing we did another one!

Alex Vincent, who played Andy Barclay in Child's Play 1 & 2 signed my DVD-cover of Child's Play and posed for a picture.

After that Rene also got his picture back with Norman and Sean and he wasn't happy, because he looked like Mr. Ed on the picture, after a long discussion and a little help from Stjepko (there he is again!) he was able to get a new one... I also decided to go talk to John Rhys-Davies about his part in Anaconda 3 & 4. It was a very nice (and long conversation) which ended by John Rhys-Davies calling Rene "a disgrace". After this very nice conversation we drove back to Holland and we managed to catch every possible traffic jam possible, which made our ride back a very unpleasant one of 5 hours!

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Afterparty

Because I met almost everyone from the movie before the premiere, I decided not to go to the premiere at all, but go to Drew Barrymore instead, which was quite succesfull. I decided to go to the Afterparty afterwards, which was at Circus, a club in Covent Garden.

The world's most famous childhood star Macaulay Culkin (Home Alone, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, The Good Son, Ri¢hie Ri¢h) posed for a picture.

Brandon Routh, known for his role as Superman in Superman Returns posed for another photo.

Chris Evans, who plays one the seven evil exes in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, signed my DVD-cover Fantastic Four but didn't pose for a photo, unfortunately. Chris's star will rise even more due to his new films Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers.

Ellen Wong, who plays Knives Chau in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World posed for a picture.

Jessica Hynes, known for her roles in Shaun of the Dead, Son of Rambow and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix posed for a picture. I obtained her autograph long before at the premiere of Hot Fuzz.

Justin Long, who was with Drew Barrymore at The Apple Store, refused to sign there but promised to sign at his hotel. When we went to Claridges he held his promise and came out of the hotel, just to sign for us. for me signed the DVD-covers of Drag Me to Hell, Accepted and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, for which he thanked me for stomaching him in his leather slave outfit on the playground. After he signed for me, he posed for a picture.

On my last day in London I was also able to obtain autographs of Drew Barrymore, which was nice because I had to miss the premiere the day after I would leave again. Drew Barrymore is most known for movies like Charlie's Angels, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Donnie Darko and Music and Lyrics. When she came out of the building she got mobbed by fans (including Shitman, She-Boy and a pushy, old, bald collector with no teeth, who has actually nothing good on his body, or mind) and papparazzi. Still I was still able to obtain two autographs, on my DVD-covers of Charlie's Angels and Music and Lyrics.

After his appearance he signed my DVD-covers of Juno and Superbad but I was unable to obtain a picture with him, because he was mobbed by collector's such as "Shitman", "The Penis", "Pratsjkop 1" (I know the English readers cannot understand this, but this has been nicknamed long before I became in contact of some of them.)

Oscar winning actress Whoopi Goldberg is known for movies like Ghost, Jumpin' Jack Flash, The Color Purple and off course Sister Act, in which she also makes part of the West End musical for three weeks only. When she came out of the stagedoor, she didn't look very suprised when 300 people were waiting for her. I was waiting next to her, so I was the first one to obatain her autograph. For she signed the DVD-covers of The Color Purple, The Lion King, Girl, Interrupted, Rat Race and offcourse Ghost, for which she received her Oscar. Unfortunately it was impossible for her at the theatre to pose for a picture with me...
This sign was on the wall, where Whoopi signed for her fans at the barriers, which made it look like a small premiere.

Like my last trip, this trip I also went to the Soho Hotel, seeing if I could spot where the stars of the upcoming gala-premiere of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World were staying. And my first guess turned out to be good. I was able to get most of the stars even a day before the premiere!

Brandon Routh, who is most known for his role as Superman in the movie Superman Returns. He also played some supporting roles in Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Unthinkable and the TV-series "Chuck". This time he is one of the seven evil exes in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. When he checked into his hotel he posed for a picture.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead, known for her roles in Die Hard 4.0, Death Proof and Final Destination 3, plays Ramona Flowers in the upcoming film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. When I met her, she signed my DVD-covers of Death Proof and Die Hard 4.0 and my Blu-Ray cover of Final Destination 3. Luckily she was also willing to pose for a picture.

Anna Kendrick, who plays Stacey Pilgrim in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is best known for her roles in the Twilight movies and Up in the Air, for which she received an Oscar nomination. I already met Anna earlier this year, but this time she signed the Blu Ray covers of Up in the Air and Twilight the DVD-cover of New Moon. She also posed for a picture...again.

Kieran Culkin, who plays Wallace Wells in the upcoming movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is known for movies as Igby Goes Down, Nowhere to Run and off course Home Alone where he plays Fuller, the younger cousin of Macaulay Culkin's character. Macaulay Culkin is his real life brother. For me Kieran signed my DVD-covers of Nowhere to Run, Father of the Bride Part II and Igby Goes Down. He also posed for a picture, which is actually quit rare, because he doesn't like doing them.

Jason Schwartzman, who plays Gideon Gordon Graves in the upcoming Scott Pilgrim vs. the World comicbook adaption, is best known for his roles in Wes Anderson's movies like Rushmore, The Darjeeling Limited and Fantastic Mr. Fox. For me he signed the DVD-covers of The Darjeeling Limited, Funny People, Spun and Marie Antoinette. On all DVD-cover he wrote something funny as well. He was willing to pose for a photo, but only if he could hold his very masculine espresso, which offcourse I didn't mind at all.

Jeff Goldblum, who is also staying at the Soho Hotel, is an actor I met several times now. I also have several pictures with him. And at none of the he looked into the camera. So I decided to try anonther one, when I met him one-on-one. And guess what, again he didn't look in the camera. He did sign the DVD-cover of Igby Goes Down though...

Britain's bad boy Danny Dyer, walked up to the Soho Hotel. He is known for his roles in Pimp, Malice in Wonderland, City Rats and The Football Factory. Danny who is also nice for his fans posed for a picture...

Stephen Dillane @ Old Vic Theatre

He was actually the only interesting actor in this year's Bridge project at the Old Vic Theatre. For me Stephen signed the DVD-covers of God on Trial, 44 Inch Chest, The Truth About Charlie, Spy Game and the filmcell of King Arthur. Because he hates photo's, he was not willing to pose for one.

Salt - European Premiere

The most important premiere being held in London this august was the European premiere of Salt, the new actioner starring the Oscar winning actress Angelina Jolie, probably the hottest and most wanted female star of Hollywood. For this premiere only Angelina Jolie came to London to promote the film. And she is probably the only female actress who can get Leicester Square that packed at a premiere! Jolie, known for her starring roles in Wanted, Changeling, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Gone in Sixty Seconds and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. For me she signed the DVD-cover of Gone in Sixty Seconds, but as long as you're not in wheelchair (or helping someone who is) you cannot get a picture with her at a premiere...or anywhere else. I was very happy to obtain an autograph of her on the DVD-cover of Gone in Sixty Seconds. Although some collectors were complainng that she was using a shitty pen, and that they (and myself) were getting a faint autograph, I find my autograph quite visible and it can be displayed next to my other Angelina Jolie autograph I obtained on the Bafta red carpet last year.

Robert Downey Jr. @ London Hotel

I was one the extremely lucky persons to meet the legendary actor Robert Downey Jr. during his stay at one the most luxurieus hotels in London. Robert Downey Jr., two times nominated for an Oscar, is best known for his roles in the Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes franchises. He is also known for his role in "Ally McBeal" and for his numerous arrests and addiction. For me he signed the Blu-Ray covers of Sherlock Holmes and Iron Man. He also posed for a picture, when he arrived back at his hotel together with Jude Law and Sienna Miller.

Moviecon @ BFI London

Living in Holland is not always easy, the summers are always quiet (some people refer to this as cucumber time...), no movie-premieres at theaters and only re-runs of TV-shows on the telly. Unfortunately the winters are not any better. Waiting that long for the stars to show up in Holland is almost as wortwhile as Ajax winning a football match. The only way the meet the stars is to go abroad. So, I decided to go to London...again!This was the third time Britain's magazine "Empire" held a Moviecon at BFI London. This is not a movieconvention like I ussually attend, but a convention where new movies are being shown to the public. So no signing sessions, photoshoots or stalls where you can buy a DVD or a collectible.
Every year some special guests make an appearance at this Moviecon to introduce a movie or to take place in a Q&A session afterwards. This was the first time I decided to take a look at this movieconvention and it is not easy to collect here due to unknown guest appearances.

The A-Team UK Premiere @ Empire London

On the 27th of august the premiere of The A-Team took place at the Empire cinema in London. The premiere was attended by all 4 A-Team members (Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, Sharlto Copley) as well as female lead Jessica Biel and director Joe Carnahan. So quite a good turnout for this film. Unfortunately I wasn't able to meet most of them, because almost everybody almost only signed in front the cinemas. So, gladly I met most of them the day before...
The only ones I did meet where the two I didn't meet at the hotel, so that was good luck after all...

3 A-Team members @ Dorchester Hotel

Allthough the premiere of Grown Ups was cancelled I still managed to get my pictures with the actors and the autographs. The second premiere, luckily, wasn't cancelled. This was the premiere of The A-Team, for which most of the cast and crew stayed in the famous Dorchester Hotel. I thought it wouldn't hurt to check it out a day before the premiere...

When I arrived at the hotel, I didn't realise that I walked pass Liam Neeson. The famous actor, best known for his roles in movies like The A-Team, Batman Begins, Love Actually, Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace and off course the all time classic movie Schindler's List, was walking back to the hotel with his sons. When I approached him (from behind a bush!) he didn't want to do it at first, but with a little bit of persistence he decided the sign my limited edition boxset of Schindler's List. Which now has the signatures on it of it's three lead actors; Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley and Ralph Fiennes. Liam Neeson is never keen on doing pictures with, but with the same persistence I managed to get a picture with him as well!
After this great meeting with the legendary actor we had to wait a little bit longer until some other A-Team members checked in at the hotel. In this time we had the "pleasure" to talk to some other collectors, including a fat cow called "Mad-Lisa". This delusional piece of meat is friends with a lot af actors (according to her, forunately the actors never heard of her), lover of our beloved Swiss colleague (which might be true...lol...) and she knows every piece of information about whereabouts of actors in London (which is also not true!). I think we can use an "Evil Dead-Tree" here!

Anyway, after a lot of useless lies from the lying bitch, 2 other A-Team members arrived at the hotel. Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, who plays to new B.A. Baracus in The A-Team is best known for his fighting. He signed my poster of The A-Team and posed for a picture.

Sharlto Copley, who plays the new Murdock in The A-Team, is bet known for his starring role in the box office hit District 9. This is the third time I met the actor and this time he signed the poster of The A-Team for me and, again, he posed for a picture.
